Gazing out at the beautiful scenery below me, I cannot imagine being anywhere else. The perfume from the vividly-clored flowers and the radiating sun shining above leave me in awe at how beautiful of a city Vancouver is. It’s mesmerizing. That’s why, despite the fact that there are better dining options nearby, it’s still popular because there is no alternative for a view as spectacular as this one. Exploring their recently changed lunch menu, which wasn’t much, I found myself leaving with the same thoughts from last time. Not excited or captivated by any particular dish. Simply speaking, don’t expect to leave here experiencing one of the best dishes of your life, even with such pricing. Though, that could just be my opinion… It’s a decent choice for special occasions, but it’s more for those who happen to need a little “pick-me-up” after a long stroll. The best dish was the carbonara, which was luxurious without being sickly. With that said, I would have resorted to somewhere else with the price tag since then, the pasta would also be made in house.
Pizza Margherita
bocconcini, vine ripened tomatoes, basil 15
Could have passed on this one. Nothing memorable for me.
Seafood Linguine Carbonara
bacon, prawns, snapper, scallops 22
Much more seafood than my previous experience. The best dish we ordered.
Steamed Mussels
white wine, tomatoes, garlic, fresh herbs 15
Fragrant broth and adequate amount of mussels.
Feature Sandwich
truffled salami 15
Sounded better than it tasted, but fries were good.
