Glowbal Grill Steaks and Satay

Since the weather was nice and sunny today, I decided to check out Glowbal Grill with a few my of girlfriends. It definitely has one of the best patios in Vancouver, hands down. The vibe is lively and the design is the perfect mix between posh and cozy.20130420-190517.jpg

20130420-190530.jpgPowdered doughnuts were given after we were seated, which was a kind gesture. 20130420-190539.jpgThe Mushroom Frittata was nothing spectacular, something that could be easily recreated at home. The buratta cheese was rich and buttery, but I do wish it was blended into the mixture rather than just a dollop on top because then the flavours would be more cohesive and better distributed.  The potatoes were dry and quite bland and under-seasoned. The bitter greens looked great on the plate for added colour, but they weren’t even dressed. 20130420-190546.jpgThese are the Scallops that my friend ordered. She disliked them because they were dry and quite tasteless. 20130420-190556.jpgThe Smoked Salmon Benedict20130420-190552.jpg

The Dungeness Crab Benedict.

Like all chain restaurants, you are there for the ambiance opposed to the food. Yes, the food was mediocre, but I expected it to be. I definitely wouldn’t mind going back though because the atmosphere is inviting and it’s a great place to socialize with friends because it seriously feels like you’re dining at a Hollywood bistro. The menu is also very extensive, so you won’t have to worry about a friend not finding something to order.
