Another breath-taking space has added itself to Vancouver, this time inside the Settlement Building. Home to also the Vancouver Urban Winery, Belgard Kitchen offers an attractive menu featuring classic and trendy plates meant for sharing. That seems to be a trend with restaurant openings lately, having little bites of whatever is prepared first. Along with the spectacular back drop, think high ceilings and ample light streaming in, this place will surely be a hit amongst the young crowd. A staple for diners to socialize and drink some local wine, while still being able to have a solid meal.
Their opening hours are 11am – 11pm and they don’t take reservations. Since they haven’t been open for that long, it’s a good idea to stop by soon before word hits and the place gets packed like a madhouse. They have a lunch menu available also, a daily selection of specials that can be found on their twitter page. They also focus on sourcing as much local ingredients as possible, noticed from their charcuterie that included Big Lou’s meats and cheese from Little Qualicum Cheeseworks. Overall, left with a good impression and cannot wait to sample their other dishes.
